We ended up making Sunday a shorter drive. The first two days were pretty hard on Laura because of all the wind and movement. We found a pretty cool place to stay with Harvest Host, it was Skydive Chicago. They had a beautiful area to be in, they were very helpful and friendly. We had a fair amount of rain that night, but we enjoyed being outside walking around and the peacefulness of the area. Nobody in. the family skydived, but we got to see so many others do it. Some crazy fast and spinning till the very end, and some gently coming down. Crazy fun to watch!
This particular Harvest Host had its own food truck, we love to support small business when we can and this one was a good one! We decided to do a late start for Monday morning to try to avoid some rush-hour traffic. So far so good!
